MALE, Maldives — Singer, songwriter, and composer of Zero Degree Atoll, Ahmed “Fulu” Nashid, signed up to join the Dhivehi Raiyyithunge Party at about 2130hrs tonight.
The signing is Nashid’s first official sign of endorsement although he had performed and composed Adhi Hunnavaashey Fas Aharu (stay 5 years more) - the theme song for DRP Presidential candidate incumbent President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom’s Maumoon 2008 Campaign.
Zero Degree Atoll is famed for being the first band which created a uniquely Maldivian style of music and Nashid is credited along with his band for their innovativity in fusing elements of Dhivehi folk music and poetry with contemporary instrumentations. Nashid has released a solo jazz album titled Bird in Flight to great success in addition to his band’s much acclaimed Dhoni (Maldivian word for vessel) album.

Nashid's Dad will be crying in his grave now 'cause Nashid's Dad is a reformist. Had he been alive he would not agree on this decision.
Nashid is a fucking Hypocrite.
How about all those minivan radio programmes...
Why am I not surprised. Most Maldivians are opportunists which makes them hypocrites but since a lot of Maldivians are delusional, I guess they don't understand when they sign a pact with the devil.
nashid wil go to new heights withh golhabo,
don't waste your breath and time on this idiot. He is washed up as a musician and would never been even there if not for the genius of Ahmed Naseer, Ahmed Nasheed and Mohoj.
